Medium compact growth.
Flowers: semi-double 'hose-in-hose' form, having forward pointing petals; blush pink.
Foliage: dark green very glossy leaves with acuminate downward pointing tips.
Mid to late season.
The Japanese name means 'feathered robe' but the flowers somewhat resemble the opening buds
of Magnolia stellata. However, the Japanese
name takes priority. The flowers mark easily in frost or cold winds.
